At least I think they're actual shell. I'm pretty sure this is either paua shell or abalone, but I'm leaning more towards paua. They look like the kind of cheapy shell jewelry you can get at touristy shops here, if I'm being completely honest. The shell comes in one strip, like paper, and you just cut whatever shapes you want. There's an adhesive backing, and you just peel it off and stick it on your nail. The only thing is, it doesn't feel at all like paper. It's stiff, kind of thick, and brittle. If pieces break off, they remind me of these little shell pieces that I have for other nail art, so that's why I'm pretty sure it's shell. I got it from Born Pretty Store, and I'm pretty sure this is what I got, in case you want to try it out! 

Another regular polish mani! I've been wanting to use my Essie Shine of the Times top coat with the amazing holographic flakies in it. I can never get over how dang pretty it makes everything. I saw this tutorial from Kirakira Nail from her Minimalistic Monday series, and I really liked it. Decided to try it with polish, since I didn't have washi tape, and I love how it came out. I only wished that the flakies shifted more towards green than red. But I dig it! 

The cream itself is thick, but it smells a bit like a grandma. Like old lady perfume. But it's not overwhelming. The cream feels nice on the face, but does feel slightly greasy and doesn't dry down. Not a total deal breaker, though.

Valentines Day isn't my favorite holiday. In fact, some of the worst times of my life have happened on or around Valentine's Day. Remind me to tell you some stories later...But anyway, despite that, I can't resist doing a theme on my nails. This year, though, I'm feeling kind of lazy, and I want to get back into using regular nail polish for a little while. That found me dipping into my Nails Inc. collection. I had forgotten about this black polish with a bit of holo in it from Nails Inc. called Disco Lane. I'm pretty sure it came in a set of four that came out around the holidays many years ago, so I'm not sure if they still make it or not. I also topped one of my nails with loose glitter that I got in the craft section of Walmart, and because I can't resist, I topped that with a couple of nail stickers.
